Welcome to First Presbyterian Church

We are so glad you're here. Get to know us a bit more below.

Our Mission & Vision

All are Welcome Here!

First Presbyterian is an inclusive, open, caring and affirming Christian community. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate to their fullest without qualification or discrimination because of ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

Regardless of where you are in your faith journey or personal life, First Presbyterian Church offers a place to call home. Peace, grace, acceptance and hope are what this congregation has found in abundance through Christ in whom we are all made free.

We strive to follow the example of Christ, showing God’s love and respect for all our siblings in Christ and seeking first to understand before being understood. We work to extend God’s love to all through inclusive worship services, through our gifts and service to others, and through our commitment to social justice.

Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in worship. There is childcare for infants and preschoolers.

Worship and Praise

How We Serve God Together

Our worship seeks to bring us closer to God and each other.  At First Presbyterian Church we share in the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of each month. We have an open communion table and invite anyone, including children to join us. A time for children is included in the worship service.

Worship services are a mix of traditional and contemporary music including a praise band, pipe organ, chancel choir and occasional music by our children and youth as well as vocal and instrumental soloists.

Every entrance and room in our building is ADA accessible.

Believing that baptism is a gift of God’s grace, we baptize both children and adults upon request. Please contact the pastor for more information.

First Presbyterian Church is happy to discuss the possibility of hosting wedding ceremonies.  Please contact us for more information. There are certain requirements that must be met for a wedding to take place at the church.

The church can provide leadership for the worship planning of the funeral or memorial service and help for the reception, but the remaining details are best handled by a funeral home. Our policy for all memorial and funerals services is that all families wishing to hold a funeral or memorial service at the church shall employ services of a funeral home. Please contact us if you have any questions.
